Le Chiffre

It occurs that a child, when mature, wants to change his identity and deny the first name that his parents gave him at birth. This is the case of LCLT inc., Our baby, who, as a result of growing up, did not identify with these 4 letters which meant “Lafleur, Crevier, Long-term”, a pact that the partners had made in their press. Created the entity two years ago. The name sounded counting (to the RCGT, KPMG, LTML) and that was enough. Like basketball player Ron Artest who changed his name to Metta World Peace, LCLT inc. Becomes Le Chiffre inc.
It was not an easy decision, among the finalists: Bloom (used by a client), Prosper (used by another client), Swell (aweille the father!), Global Revenue, Spring, Stream …
My mother, when I presented her with the final name, hesitated a moment before saying “That’s … original” in a tone of mockery. Still, she spent the rest of the afternoon calling me Mr. Le Chiffre when she had never been able to pronounce our old name. It was the first goal: to have a clear name, easy to remember and that strikes the imaginary. Le Chiffre, a non-traditional denomination in the medium, has a clear and accountable denotation, in addition to having a rich connotation, even making a cultural-pop reference at Casino Royale.
Logo
For the logo, we wanted something simple that would focus on the name. It is a L, it is a C but also a 2 hulled. An unfinished figure, like our cabinet.
Moving
We moved from the RCA building to the Nordelec, Pointe-Saint-Charles. It’s the same building style, but better. The change was mainly to double the area of the premises, but also to bring us closer to our biggest customer, GSOFT
In the plans
Manage an accounting firm without budgets, is it done? We think so and we will prove it. We want to use the Chiffre to demonstrate that it is possible to have an acceptable level of control and have more organizational performance by empowering employees as much as possible.
We will continue to grow, but at a more calm pace.
Our avowed aim is to change the way we do business, starting with accounting, we think that the periodic surplus brought by the individual’s tax diverts us from that goal. We have consequently decided to channel our efforts on the corporations, which we occupy all year round. We are exploring several avenues to see how we can reduce our involvement in personal taxation while ensuring that our clients are not left to
We will try to have a functional kitchen for New Year and we will try to understand how to stabilize the temperature of our new office, currently destabilized by its menopause.
